In support of the GIZ challenge "Advisory for Agroecology", GFRAS organized a webinar on "Agroecology & Extension” to discuss how extensionists can support the transformation of food and agriculture systems, address the root causes of problems and provide holistic and long-term solutions based on co-creation of knowledge, sharing and innovation, in a multi-disciplinary way.
GIZ Challenge: Advisory for Agroecology
This challenge aims to identify and promote new and innovative concepts, ideas, and tools in agricultural advisory services that have the potential to spread agroecological approaches widely. Awards of 150,000 Euros are available for testing and validating new innovative concepts and ideas integrating agroecological approaches into agricultural advisory services. The Challenge is open to consortia of public, private and non-profit organizations with long-term experiences in agricultural extension and advisory services. Consortia must be represented by an international institution as the main applicant. A strong private partner involvement and engagement is a further prerequisite.
