Expanding the Protein & Oil Landscape for African Agro-Processors by Soybean Innovation Lab. From cooking oil to poultry feed, information about protein and oil content in soybean is essential for processors, and yet access to analysis technology is severely limited in Africa.

In this 1-hour webinar, audience members hearD from African agro-processors about how protein and oil information impacts their product offering and from SIL researchers about Near Infrared (NIR) analysis technology and findings from protein and oil analyses conducted across SIL’s Pan-African Trial (PAT) program underway across 24 African countries. Equipment manufacturers active in the protein and oil analysis space will also share with the audience their African market strategy.
Finally, Dr. Santos and Dr. Diers mentioned the Pan-African Soybean Variety Trial (PAT) Database, which houses information on agronomic performance as well as protein and oil concentrations from grain sourced from PATs across Africa.
