The Global Dialogue is a follow-up to the Multi-stakeholder Dialogue on Biodiversity Mainstreaming across Agricultural Sectors co-organized by FAO and the CBD in 2018.

• The Dialogue and the High-Level Segment will bring together countries to highlight the important role of the food and agricultural sectors for the management, enhancement, conservation and restoration of biodiversity as a whole. 
• The Dialogue will end with a co-chairs report.  
• The summative report reflecting the discussions of both meetings will be brought to the attention of the CBD processes (OWEG-3 and COP 15).

IPBES and IPCC (2021) IPBES-IPCC CO-SPONSORED WORKSHOP BIODIVERSITY AND CLIMATE CHANGE 
WORKSHOP REPORT 28 pp.

10 June. In December 2020, 50 of the world’s leading biodiversity and climate experts, selected by a 12-person Scientific Steering Committee assembled by IPBES and IPCC, participated in a four-day virtual workshop to examine the synergies and trade-offs between biodiversity protection and climate change mitigation and adaptation. This represents the first-ever collaboration between the two intergovernmental science-policy bodies. The IPBES-IPCC co-sponsored workshop report on biodiversity and climate change, available below, was launched on 10 June 2021 at a virtual media conference. You will also find below the media release for the 10 June 2021 launch event.

Participants also produced an associated Scientific Outcome, consisting of seven scientific sections, a list of about 1,500 literature references, a glossary and appendices, which is also posted below.
