Launch of AKADEMIYA2063’s Five-year (2021-2025) Strategy for Transforming African Economies

 6 October 2021. AKADEMIYA2063, hostef a Board of Trustees Seminar to launch its 5-year strategy for implementing its mission to provide data, policy analysis, and capacity strengthening support to enable African countries to achieve the African Union’s Agenda 2063 goals of inclusive and sustainable development and economic prosperity. 

The seminar enabled AKADEMIYA2063 to exchange with partners and stakeholders in Rwanda on its Africa-wide activities and plans for collaborating with Rwandan organizations working on similar objectives.

"We really suffer from a lack of correct and timely data on which we can base our decisions making. (...) It is time that Africa stops relying on outsiders, including data. You find sometimes that local people don't know their own data. Outsiders have a lot of data: some are correct and some are not correct. We are not even positioned to say that this is not correct, the correct version is this one."
