awarded to an individual who has demonstrated a considerable commitment to
conservation, and who has already made a significant impact. The Tusk Wildlife

individual who works in the field on a daily basis protecting Africa’s

grants are awarded to promising high-level research projects in Agriculture,
Biology, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Engineering, Information Computer
Technology, Mathematics, Medical Sciences and Physics carried out in African
countries. Research Grants to research units are in the maximum amount of US$67
thousand. The grants, which are normally provided for a period of 24 months,
may be used to purchase scientific equipment, consumables, which can include
fieldwork and maintenance of equipment and specialized literature (textbooks

the Developing World (OWSD) supports female scientists in Sub-Saharan Africa

country. The Fellowship is for two years and provides up to US$50 thousand.

practice. The Global Counsel Social Impact Program aims to support non-profit

early-stage social entrepreneurs from all around the world with support to
transform their ideas into scalable and sustainable ventures. Ventures may be

agriculture, sustainable energy, or sustainable development.) Ventures
structured as ‘non-profit’ will only be considered if they have a product or

and Artistic responses to Environmental Change

The Prince Claus Fund and the
Goethe-Institut support artistic and cultural interventions tackling pressing
environmental and climate issues around the world. The Fund invites
applications to its mentorship program which will focus on addressing the climate
emergency. The program consists of two Labs, bi-monthly online masterclass and
peer-group sessions. Each artist receives an award of €10 thousand to work on
the concept for a body of work that they outline in their application. Please
note that support is only given to individual persons or organizations living,
registered and working in DAC-listed countries. The deadline for the submission
of project applications is 30 April 2023.

SDG 5 seeks female leaders playing a critical role driving economic growth and

quality in high stressed watersheds. The winner will receive a US$100 thousand

action to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Mobilizers,

the world. The winners will be announced at a special UN SDG Action Awards
Ceremony held at UN Headquarters in New York City, USA. Applications have to be

The prize honors women’s groups for exceptional creativity, courage, and
