Traditional vegetables and the economy: Towards sustainable conservation and use
18 February 2022. Safeguarding and conserving plant genetic resources is a necessity to achieve food security objectives for African communities. Through the TAVI (Taiwan Africa Vegetable Initiative) project, funded by MOFA Taiwan, the World Vegetable Center (WorldVeg), the Laboratory of Genetics, Biotechnology and Seed Science and other partner institutions are aiming to be a major asset in the development and implementation of conservation policies.
This documentary traces the history of traditional vegetables as well as some conservation strategies.
