Facilitating Anticipatory Action with Improved Early Warning Recorded

19 - 22 September 2023. African Union (AU) Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The 4th AAPHCE was an opportunity for exhibitors to showcase their latest innovative technologies, practices, and tools for postharvest food loss/waste reduction. The exhibition was aligned with the congress theme for ‘Sustainable Postharvest Management: Boosting Intra-African Agricultural Trade and Enhancing Food and Nutrition Security.
19 September 2023. At an event hosted by the World Economic Forum, USAID Administrator Samantha Power and Anne Beathe Tvinnereim, the Norwegian Minister of International Development, launched a new multi-donor fund designed to unlock hundreds of millions in financing for small-and medium-sized agricultural businesses (agri-SMEs) in Africa. Over the next 10 years, FASA Fund aims to support 500 agri-SMEs and 1.5 million smallholder farmers.
