ActionAid International’s session on ‘just transitions in agriculture and energy’ brings together key stakeholders to discuss principles and good practices for just transitions.
Zooming in on the primary sectors of agriculture and extractives, which are critical from a climate, biodiversity, food security and development perspective, ActionAid and partners share a mandate of facilitating local women-led solutions such as agroecology, and invite others to do the same.
The session provided practical experiences, solutions and principles for just transitions in line with the ambitions of European Union's Global Gateway Strategy. It generated concrete ideas on solutions that work for people and the planet, for women's rights and addressing climate and environmental challenges, and what this means to global value chains.
