Livestock and Climate Change

2 - 3 February 2015. Nairobi, Kenya. The consortium of the EU Animal Change project organised a workshop on “Livestock and Climate Change”.

This event included presentations and in-depth discussion on:

1. Climate predictions for East Africa under different scenarios and implications on the livestock sector
2. Mitigation and adaptation strategies that are relevant to East Africa.
3. Socio Economic, Inventory and Policy perspectives
4. Future implementation strategies for livestock systems that will adapt to climate change, will reduce emissions of greenhouse gases and increase efficiency of production.
