Recommendations human health and soil health connection research

28 August 2025. Listen in as Dr. James White from Rutgers University explains their research team's recent fascination: how microbiology enters the plant root cell nuclei to trigger genetic expression in traits that affect smell, taste, and nutrient density.

Their team's been on the leading edge of research on rhizophagy, a process meaning "root" and "eating," where microbes work in symbiosis with the plan to gather needed available nutrients and deliver them into the root hairs.

Learn how this breakthrough applies to food is medicine programs and sourcing related to nutrition in health care settings. It includes recommendations on research that will support the work to prove human health and soil health connections.

Recorded live on Aug. 26, 2025. Hosted by Think Regeneration's Denise Nicol and Ryan Slabaugh. Featuring Dr. James White, a microbiologist researcher at Rutgers University
