4 February 2021. The THRIVE Africa Challenge solves problems of the African agrifood industry, and selects the best startups and scale-ups for investment and global recognition.
Nine African startups presented their ideas before an audience of top agricultural leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs.The THRIVE AFRICA Challenge, in partnership with the U.S. Department of State, is part of THRIVE's Global Initiative which aims to enable the needed transformations in Africa’s food value chain as highlighted in the U.N.’s Sustainable Development Goals.- The Challenge accomplished this by identifying, promoting, accelerating, and investing in innovative early-stage African startups that are creating new and alternative paths for a more efficient and sustainable global food system.

Kenyan start-up that seeks to eliminate inefficiencies in the supply of fresh produce. They leverage end-to-end technology along the supply chain to ensure better quality produce and give farmers and consumers better prices. They are piloting with the potato value chain.
