The conference highlighted latest technology on conversion of biodegradable biowaste fractions from African and Mediterranean agricultural and industrial waste into value-added products. Invited experts from African, Asian and European countries present and discussed state of the art, including commercialization and market potential for biomass utilization policies in African countries. 

The conference was organized under the auspices of the Institut Agronomique et Vétérinaire, Hassan II, and hosted in their facilities in Rabat, Morocco.

The conference was financially supported by the European Commission under the grant agreement No. 312111- Turning biowaste into sustainable products: development of appropriate conversion technologies applicable in developing countries.
