The Conservation, Food and Health Foundation supports special projects and programs in the areas of conservation, food, and health in low- and lower-middle-income countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East. The foundation supports projects that demonstrate local leadership; develop the capacity of local organizations; and address a particular problem or question in the field. Eligibility extends to NGOs, community-based organizations and academic institutions. There is no maximum grant size. The average grant is approx. US$20 thousand. The New Earth Foundation (NEF) seeks Letter of Inquiries (LOIs) to fund innovative environmental initiatives that are working to help eliminate pollution and to save the planet’s ecosystems, and community projects that create models of social sustainability. Past projects include gardening and building houses in earthquake impacted regions, using solar equipment to provide clean water to poor communities, planting trees for clean air, and many others. NEF only funds 501(c)(3) organizations. Applicants from outside the US may apply through a fiscal sponsor. Letters of Inquiry can be sent at any time during the year. These letters are reviewed twice a year and applicants that fit the requirements will receive the invitation to submit a full grant application. The TWAS-ICCBS Postgraduate Fellowship program offers fellowships to young scientists from developing countries who wish to pursue research towards a PhD in chemical and biological sciences (including agricultural sciences). The Fellowship is granted for a maximum of 12 months. ICCBS will provide a monthly stipend to cover living costs, such as food, accommodation, and local transportation. Applicants must hold a Master's degree in a field of natural sciences and may not be older than 35 years. Submissions are due by 04 July 2022.

The Zayed Sustainability Prize recognizes achievements that are driving impact, innovation and inspiration in environmental stewardship and global sustainability. For 2022, the best team project will be awarded CHF5 thousand, and the best masters thesis CHF1 thousand. The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung awards scholarships to international master students and graduates in order to enable study and research at universities in Germany. Each year, new focus countries or regions are determined for the selection procedures. The scholarship is aimed at students and graduates under the age of 30 who have acquired a university degree and who intend to complete postgraduate or master studies, doctoral studies or a research stay of at least three semesters at a university in Germany. Graduates receive a monthly scholarship of € 850, PhD-students receive € 1.200, plus health insurance and family allowance. The Embassy of Japan in Uganda provides financial assistance to non-profit, development-oriented organizations in support of community development projects in Uganda. The Resilient, Inclusive and Sustainable Environments (RISE) Grant Program supports strategies to prevent gender-based violence in the context of natural resource access and control. For that purpose, RISE seeks partnerships between environmental organizations, Indigenous Peoples’ organizations, local and grassroots communities. RISE seeks to fund up to six projects in the range of US$100 thousand to US$300 thousand each. Projects must be implemented in Central America and the Caribbean, Eastern and Southern Africa, or South and Southeast Asia. The JRS Biodiversity Foundation aims to increase the access to and the use of information for biodiversity conservation and sustainable development in Sub-Saharan Africa. The New Earth Foundation (NEF) seeks Letter of Inquiries (LOIs) to fund innovative environmental initiatives that are working to help eliminate pollution and to save the planet’s ecosystems, and community projects that create models of social sustainability. Past projects include gardening and building houses in earthquake impacted regions, using solar equipment to provide clean water to poor communities, planting trees for clean air, and many others. NEF only funds 501(c)(3) organizations. Applicants from outside the US may apply through a fiscal sponsor. Letters of Inquiry can be sent at any time during the year. These letters are reviewed twice a year and applicants that fit the requirements will receive the invitation to submit a full grant application. The deadlines for review are 01 February and 01 July each year.

The TWAS-ICCBS Postgraduate Fellowship program offers fellowships to young scientists from developing countries who wish to pursue research towards a PhD in chemical and biological sciences (including agricultural sciences). The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung awards scholarships to international master students and graduates in order to enable study and research at universities in Germany. Each year, new focus countries or regions are determined for the selection procedures. The scholarship is aimed at students and graduates under the age of 30 who have acquired a university degree and who intend to complete postgraduate or master studies, doctoral studies or a research stay of at least three semesters at a university in Germany. Graduates receive a monthly scholarship of € 850, PhD-students receive € 1.200, plus health insurance and family allowance. €15,88 million subsidies for climate projects: submit your project by 9 September 2022

The Government of Flanders has made €15,88 million subsidies available for the second project call of the G-STIC Climate Action Programme. These subsidies are meant for both demonstration projects as well as dissemination and capacity building projects implemented by Flemish organisations which implement and upscale climate solutions in developing countries.
