Equality and Women’s Empowerment
The series is organized by the Dimitra Clubs Team of the Rural Institutions, Services and People's Empowerment (RISE) Team of the Inclusive Rural Transformation and Gender Equity (ESP) of FAO.

Webinar 2 aimed at understanding to what extent and how community engagement approaches have been able to promote advancements in gender equality and people’s empowerment, including changes in gender relations and roles.

The series is organized by the Dimitra Clubs Team of the Rural Institutions, Services and People's Empowerment (RISE) Team of the Inclusive Rural Transformation and Gender Equity (ESP) Division of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) with the support of the Flexible Multi-Partner Mechanism (FMM) and in collaboration with the Belgian Development Cooperation.

  • Mr Bafana Khumalo - Co-chair, Men Engage Alliance - Promoting positive masculinities at community levels to fight gender discriminations
  • Ms Hajnalka Petrics - Global Coordinator, Joint Programme on Gender Transformative Approaches for Food Security and Nutrition - Rural communities as catalysts for gender transformative change
