The world is facing multiple, complex and cascading challenges that are adversely impacting human well-being, including nutrition and micronutrient security. #MNF2023 brought together diverse international and national delegates across sectors and disciplines to drive compelling and evidence-based agendas that promote nutrition and strengthen population resilience in the face of rising shocks including climate change and man-made conflicts.
At the closing of the conference, a Way Forward Statement was presented on behalf of more than 50 global experts from research, academia, program, and policy institutions with six evidence-based recommendations for immediate action by community, national, regional, and global leaders. The importance of youth engagement in nutrition initiatives and the need for nutrition resilient youth inclusive programming, which remain a gap in both development and fragile settings.
