  • This fifth edition of the AAHC, initiated in 2009 by GlobalHort, complements the African sub-regions hosting the event.
  • The event strengthens scientific relations and partnerships between North Africa and sub-Saharan Africa, and highlights the place and role of horticulture in meeting the continent's global challenges: food and nutritional security, youth employment, and sustainable management of natural resources (water and biodiversity).

26/02 Workshop 1 Digital Innovation for small scale farming in horticulture (FARA, CIRAD, FAO)

Knowledge Management Cluster Leader at FARA, Benjamin Abugri was one of 4 panelists of Workshop 1. He presented FARA's experience with knowledge platforms and distance information exchange between farmers and the other actors of the horticulture value chain, i.e. benefits and constraints of the various digital tools to manage information .The other panelists were Yvonne Pinto, recently appointed DG of IRRI, Nicolas Paget of CIRAD and Leone Magliochetti of FAO
