Investments are needed to support the development, diffusion and adoption of technology by value chain actors and importantly to support inclusiveness to avoid that technologies reinforce inequalities. Therefore technologies and innovations must be adapted to local needs, opportunities and constraints, to ensure they are accessible to all who want to adopt them.
