The Knowledge and Research for Nutrition (K&R4Nut) project of the European Commission aims to provide improved knowledge and evidence for policy and programme design, management and monitoring & evaluation in order to reach better nutrition outcomes.
Carefully planning, monitoring, evaluating and drawing lessons from actions designed to improve nutrition is of utmost importance to increase the efficiency and impact of such actions. In order to support sound monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of nutrition-related policies and programmes, the Nutrition Research Facility (NRF) has developed this webpage to provide an overview of the main tools available for that purpose.
These tools are presented and analysed according to different criteria: the type of tool (framework, indicator or index, method or integrated tool, database or dashboard, initiative); the context in which the tool can be used (humanitarian or development); the relevant level of application of the tool (programme, national, global) and the stage of policy or programme development at which the tool is most useful (planning, implementation, learning).
